Well Buffalo Fans, it just goes on and on, doesn't it? Once again we are filled with excitement and anticipation only to see our heroes fall short of the mark. (way short this time!) And once again we see a Lindy Ruff coached team fail miserably on the Power Play. I'm not sure why his teams have such trouble scoring with the man advantage. Perhaps what they need is a leader on the PP that can win faceoffs, and when called upon put the puck in the net, someone like a "Chris Drury" maybe? How about a goal scorer that can lead his team with PP goals, such a "Danny Briere" perhaps? Those would be good guys to have on your Power Play, don't you think? Familiar names, huh? Even a "Miro Satan" would come in handy scoring a goal here and there. (and let's not even mention Afinigenov!) I wonder whatever happened to those guys?

This Sabres team seems to have been built to be cost effective. Management doesn't seem to want to spend the money needed to obtain, and retain talent to take us to the promised land. So as Sabres fans, we simply do what we've always done..."wait till next year!"

So far in the Boston v Philly series, Danny Briere AND Miro Satan have scored big goals for their respective teams. Satan has 4 goals thus far in the playoffs, and Danny (who also has 4 playoff goals thus far) has scored brilliant goals in both game 1 and 2 vs Boston. The more I see these EX-Sabres perform at such levels, the more I clench my fists in rage at Sabres Management. Whether it be Darcy Regier, and his reported "arrogant demeanor" with players. Or perhaps Larry Quinn not wanting to spend what it takes to obtain and retain talent. Or possibly owner Tom Galisano may no longer care about his hockey team as he just wants to focus on his South Florida ventures. Whatever the case Buffalo Fans are forced to see familiar faces STAR for other teams, and are shaking their collective heads wondering..."What if?"
